Marine transit insurance
 
A full insurance service is offered by TGS, providing excellent cover for your vehicles or spare parts whilst in transit.
 
The policy is held with Lloyd's of London, and gives cover from warehouse to warehouse worldwide. Cover starts when the vehicle leaves our workshops, and normally ends 60 days after arrival in the final port of the journey. If it is necessary to extend the period of cover, this can be done by application to the insurance company. This means that your vehicle can remain under proper insurance cover, even if there is an unforeseen delay in clearing the vehicle from the final port.
 
If a claim is necessary, we can do much of the work for you, and can process a claim through the insurance company on your behalf. All you need to do is to inform us of the circumstances that make the claim necessary, and we will provide guidance and will prepare the claim for submission. We can also provide information to the insurers which may not be easily available to the consignee (for example, the replacement cost of stolen items).
 
Should a claim be necessary, please use this service freely. Please remember to follow the guidance given on the Insurance Certificate, and act promptly. Claims can be settled very quickly if the correct procedure is followed.

Vehicle insurance
 
It is sometimes difficult for our clients to arrange suitable insurance cover for driving their vehicles in some parts of the world. We may be able to help.
 
Whilst we do not have one specific insurance company for insurance world-wide, as with the Marine Transit, we have established links with several different companies, and are happy to put you in touch with a company which may be able to help in your particular circumstances.
 
When vehicles have been registered in Gibraltar under the export regulations, we can offer third party cover through a local company for vehicles being driven to their end destination. This cover is available for up to three months, so that local insurance can be found at the end destination.
