After several months of evaluation and a good
deal of postive customer feedback, TGS has reviewed the contents
of the ever popular Spare Parts Packages.
Service kit
Firstly it was decided that the service kit would be created. Working
around what was required to carry out normal service requirements
up to 50,000km, we then included a few of what we considered to
be emergency items such as fan belts and radiator hoses.
We also included a quantity of oil to ensure
that at least for the first few services and at a time when the
vehicle is in its running in stage that we would be sure a good
quality product was being used.
Also included is some brake fluid and screen
wash additive.
Maintenance kit
When it came to what is now known as the maintenance parts kit our
starting point was our original B kit that we had used for many
years and then deleted a few items such as brake calliper repair
kits, cam belts etc which being of rubber construction will deteriorate
if stored for a long period of time.
We then considered from our own experience of
the vehicles and feedback from clients as to which were the major
items that could fail on the vehicles and included these along with
the fluid package as in the service kit.
Included in this kit are also the service items
up to 50,000km, 4 tyres are also included in this kit as standard.
With the contents of the kits we have now we
believe this gives the customer more choice.
For instance, if the client is purchasing a number
of vehicles they can purchase a service kit for most of the vehicles
and maybe one maintenance kit that can be used to repair all the
other vehicles.
Secondly the client can
just purchase the service kit and depend on the local dealer for
the maintenance parts as required.
