This time we chat to our very own “Adrenalin Junkie”, with a passion for the rural life-style, Frank Galera, Parts Technical Sales Executive
How long have you been working for TGS?
10 years on 06/12/09.
What is your current role?
Parts technical sales executive
Describe briefly your average day at work.
My day officially starts at 8:30, but I am usually in the office shortly after 8:00. I first check my emails and action them in order of priority and/or importance.
I spend most of the day concentrating on ensuring the suitability/applicability of accessories fitted onto the vehicles, carrying out research and development of new products/accessories and updating the accessories information on our website. I also process parts quotes and orders for key clients.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
That I am able to apply my motor trade experience to help improve the service that we provide to our internal and external customers.
What are the main challenges you face on a day to day basis?
To continuously improve our vehicle accessories to provide the best possible support to our customers and my colleagues in our vehicle sales department.
Tell us about your family.
Our immediate family is made up of Inma, our two sons Aedan (7), Ethan (4) and I. We live in La Linea de La Concepcion which is right next to Gibraltar. Although our children are quite young, they are already interested in many sports, specially basketball, swimming, bicycle riding and motorsports. Due to this we are always busy taking our children to the different activities in which they participate.
Tell us a bit about what you like to do in your free time.
I have passion for motorsports, particularly those that involve race cars on circuits and regularly go to Ascari Race Resort to play with racing cars!!
I most enjoy spending my free time with Inma and the boys, out playing in the park, in the beach or spending time out in the country side.
What do you like best about living in Gibraltar?
I actually don't live in Gibraltar, although very close!! I find Gibraltar a very interesting and unique place that has beautiful scenery, rich culture, wildlife and architecture, but best of all I admire the local Gibraltarian population for their pride and unity.
Any plans for the future?
I want to continue learning and developing professionally in order to provide the best possible service to my internal and external customers.
On the personal side, I want to build a house in the country side with a huge garden for my children to play in. |
