Load index and speed symbol
 
Most tyres have the load index (a number) and a speed symbol (a letter) marked on the sidewall. Below you will find a table for load indices and another for speed symbols, both providing the corresponding values to be complied with.
 
Tyre load-carrying capacity is shown in kilograms.
