| I was born
in Gibraltar like many other generations of the Davis family - my
ancestors first settled in Gibraltar around 1765. In the late 60’s
I left to continue my studies in the UK first obtaining a Telecommunications
diploma followed by one from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing
and Supply.
I first took up employment in the private sector
but this was soon followed by a long spell at OXFAM in Oxford. I
met my wife at the first Oxfam induction meeting and this really
changed the course of my life. We have worked and travelled widely
with our 4 children - now grown up Xenia 26, Oliver 24, Alexa 22,
Owen 20 - with assignments in Singapore, Mozambique, Kenya, Ethiopia
and St Kitts in the Caribbean.
Over the years I developed a great interest in
anthropology and was fortunate to travel to the Amazonas in the
Brazilian interior to research the scattered communities particularly
those tribes threatened with extinction.
Whilst working in Mozambique I become intrigued
by the art of wood carving and now have a considerable collection
from various parts of the world but the Makonda tribe carvings take
the pride of place.
In my younger days I had a passion for off-shore
sailing though I get little time to take it up these days. I do
find time though to sample wines from different parts of the world.
For a few years I was lucky enough to have taken up assignments
to look at vineyards in South Africa, Chile and the Argentina.
I have just completed my tenth year at TGS. |

I was born in Gibraltar on 9th August
1973 (Gibraltar was never the same again!) I have been married for
4 years now, and have 2 children, one boy aged 3 and one girl just
2 weeks old. I joined Toyota Gibraltar in September 1995 at the age
of 22, after successfully completing my European Business Studies
BA Honours degree at Oxford Brookes University in the U.K. My studies
included working for 1 year in France which means that I also bring
fluency in French and Spanish to my role as Assistant UN Sector Manager.
I love a challenge, and thoroughly enjoy my new responsibilities,
as no two days are ever the same. I believe in the saying that "Variety
is the spice of life" and hence, I love diversity both at a personal
and professional level.
In order to avoid monotony, I constantly use my initiative and always
look for opportunities to instigate 'change' and see the positive
in the negative. This way of thinking helps me to be continuously
self motivated and more productive, efficient and effective. There
is always an opportunity to learn something new on a daily basis,
and this thought alone helps me look forward to each new day.
I am quite open-minded and also cherish the socialising aspect of
the job. It gives me great pleasure when meeting new people, enabling
me to appreciate, experience and value the abundant variety of cultures,
ideologies and ways of living in today's world.
My hobbies include yoga, reading spiritual books, information technology,
playing hockey, practicing taekwondo and spending quality time with
my children, family and friends. Whenever possible, I like to break
away from daily routine and try and go on holiday with my family.
This helps me unwind, recharge and be ready to start once again refreshed! |

| Born in Gibraltar
in the early seventies, and educated locally, gave me the foundation
for a bright future. On finishing my studies I worked for several
high-profile companies, including the Gibraltar Tourist Board. Ten
years ago I joined the Bassadone Group of Companies as an office assistant.
I spent nine years working in the Finance
Department to the local market, of which I was the Assistant Manager
for the last two. 14 months ago I joined the UN team. I feel I am
well suited to the task of serving our UN customers as I am diligent,
loyal and hard-working. I also have an outgoing personality which
means I get on well with people.
I am mother to two boys aged 8 and 6 and
happily married to a supportive husband who also has a demanding
and well-respected career. I treasure the weekends and often spend
time in the Andalucian mountains, where we enjoy outdoor activities.
During this time I also relax and unwind by reading and practising
crotchet. During the week and whilst juggling work and family commitments,
I try to stay in shape by attempting to play netball and take part
in aerobic classes.

| I was born
in London and being of Spanish descendents was raised in a Spanish
ambience. I came to Gibraltar when I finished my studies in 1985 and
my first job was in a Foreign Exchange Bureau. I later joined a wholesale
company and worked there for 10 years. I
started at TGS 12 years ago as a Receptionist, moving into the Administration
Department a few months later. I then moved to the Freight department
to cover for maternity leaves and then moved back into the Administration
Department as Administration Supervisor. A few years later I successfully
applied for an opening in the Sales Department.
I have now been part of the sales team for over
6 years. During this time I have gained a vast knowledge of the
UN requirements and have made many good friends over the telephone
and e-mail. I have had the chance to travel to Dubai to attend the
DIHAD exhibition and also undergone a Vehicle Training Course in
Sweden. This allowed me to meet many customers I had dealt with
over the phone.
After having spent many years working full days
(9am-5pm), I have now opted to work fewer hours in order to spend
more time with my children. I am married and have a girl called
Erica and a boy called Javier. They keep me very busy but I am enjoying
the extra time I have with them. I live with my family in a lovely
area in Spain and commute to Gibraltar every day. My husband is
Spanish and speaks no English, but understands quite a bit as I
often speak to my children in English.
I am glad to say we have the best of both
worlds……
